A company ski trip in Mayrhofen
Energetic, affordable and broader than it first appears.
Mayrhofen is, as far as we're concerned, one of the easiest areas to recommend to a company where all kinds of people are mixed together.
Strong skiers, beginners, colleagues who mainly come along for the fun, and people who don't want to ski at all: there's plenty of room to move here. And on a company ski trip that often matters more than the sheer number of piste kilometres.
What you can expect from this area.
Hintertux · 3,250 metresOn the glacier in June. It's entirely possible.
The Hintertux Glacier is Austria's only year-round ski area, twenty minutes from Mayrhofen. We were still standing on the ice cave there in June, with a group around us. Not by chance, but as an option for anyone wanting to organise something outside the usual season, or simply to show that this exists.
Skiing with beginners and experts alike
A company group doesn't need the same ski level to travel together. In Mayrhofen beginners can ease in with lessons while experienced skiers head out into the area. Penken and Ahorn offer plenty of options, and anyone after more of a challenge can go deeper into the Zillertal, up onto the glacier, or take on one of the most notorious valley descents in the world: the Eberharter Goldpiste. All of it within half an hour's drive.
Après-ski and activities with colleagues
If your team loves après-ski, Mayrhofen has you covered. But a company ski trip doesn't have to be three days of après-ski, of course. We can combine ski days with shared lunches, dinners and other activities. The real question is: what gets your group excited? That's what we build the programme around.
Hotels for company groups
With a hotel we look beyond price and star rating. Where does it sit relative to the lifts? Can we have breakfast there as a whole group? How easily can non-skiers get away? Does it match the level of comfort you want? And can we run the programme logically from there? For a group of 40, the best hotel can therefore be a different one than for a group of 12.
Getting to Mayrhofen
Mayrhofen is reachable by coach, train, plane and car. Which option works best depends on group size, departure point, travel time and budget. We can fold transport into the complete trip, so you don't end up separately sourcing a coach company, transfers or flights in-house.
Mayrhofen works best for teams who recognise this.
- ski levels within the group vary widely
- beginners or non-skiers are coming along
- après-ski matters, but so do quiet evenings
- budget plays a role
- almost everyone skis well and wants a real challenge
- the budget allows for Sölden or St. Anton
- the team mainly wants luxury and calm (Kitzbühel, Gstaad)

Mayrhofen for company trips
Mayrhofen is an all-rounder. You get good skiing, a lively village, well-known après-ski and plenty to do for colleagues who don't want to be on the slopes every day. On top of that, prices sit lower than at destinations like St. Anton and Gstaad. For a group with different wishes, that gives you relatively a lot of room to build a trip that works for everyone.
Mayrhofen is actually a strong choice when not everyone wants to ski. There's a range of winter activities on offer, and the village itself is lively enough for a good day out even without ski boots. Hintertux, for example, is about half an hour's drive away. We don't decide the activities in advance: it depends on how many non-skiers come along and what they actually feel like doing.
That depends on what matters to you. The timing affects snow conditions, crowds, hotel availability and price. That's why, during the intake, we ask not only where you want to go but also when you can travel. From there we look at what actually makes sense and is available at that moment.
There's no standard figure for that. A trip with 15 colleagues for a few days in a simpler hotel is a very different thing from an extensive programme for 50 people. The number of participants, transport, hotel, travel time, ski passes, equipment, lessons, food and activities all ultimately determine the price. Among our six destinations, Mayrhofen does sit on the more accessible end.
